Course Description
This is the first in a series of two courses that covers the fundamental principles underlying the pathological alterations in cellular and organ function and pathogenesis of the most common human diseases.  Topics include the investigation of inflammatory and immunodeficiency pathologies, cancer biology, pulmonary system pathologies and disorders, and cardiovascular and systemic vascular pathologies and disorders.  An emphasis is placed on correlation of  clinical and anatomical manifestations.

How this course relates to other courses:
This course is a continuance in the development of our students deep understanding of the pathologies commonly seen in humans. The course compliments and synchronizes with the concurrent course of Clinically Oriented Anatomy and Physiology 2.
